Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit

The Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit offers up to a 30% refundable tax credit on capital investments in solar. Available from March 28, 2023, to December 31, 2033, the credit aims to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy projects across Canada.

Enhanced Capitol Cost Allowance

The Canadian Income Tax Act provides for accelerated Capital Cost Allowance (CCA) benefits for clean energy generation equipment, including solar power systems. Specifically, solar power systems are categorized under Class 43.2, which permits businesses to write off 75% of their costs in the initial year. This provision aids businesses in rapidly recouping their investments in clean energy infrastructure.​
